We are a small, volunteer-run charity in Mungallala, outback Queensland. We rescue injured and orphaned wildlife, nurse them back to health and release them home — and we teach our community, and the travellers passing through, how to help.
Our mission
To rescue, rehabilitate and release the wildlife of the Warrego — and to share the knowledge that keeps them safe, one animal, one traveller and one town at a time.

A note from the yard
Right now, there's a lamb in the laundry.
That's life at a wildlife rescue. This week we're looking after orphaned macropod joeys, a few cats who needed somewhere safe to land, and — yes — a lamb who decided we were his family. Some of our animals are wild and will go back to the bush. Some aren't, and we'll find them the right home.
Either way, every animal that comes through our gate gets the same thing: warmth, patience and proper care, for as long as it takes.
